
Walter A. Kennedy, President and founder of CARS,
Inc., has spent the last twenty five years providing forensic analysis and reconstruction in the field of traffic crash
reconstruction. He retired from the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office, Jacksonville, Florida where he investigated over
3000 crashes. Mr. Kennedy took an early retirement to accept a teaching position with the Institute of Police Technology
and Management (IPTM), University of North Florida, Jacksonville, Florida. While at IPTM he taught classes at all
levels of accident investigation and reconstruction. He also authored two books and several articles while a member
of the staff at IPTM.
In 1992 Mr. Kennedy started Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Services,
Inc. (CARS, Inc.) Since 1992 he has been providing professional forensic reconstruction services to both defense and
plaintiff counsel in civil and criminal proceedings.
Mr. Kennedy holds a "full member" status with the
Society of Automotive Engineers as well as belonging to the International Association of Accident Reconstruction Specialist
and the National Association of Professional Accident Reconstruction Specialist.
Mr. Kennedy has testified
as an expert in traffic crash reconstruction in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Kentucky, Ohio, the Federal Court for
the Southern District of Georgia, Brunswick, and the Middle District of Florida, Jacksonville, Fl. He
has been retained by both plaintiff and defense counsels in civil litigation and by both State Prosecutors and defense counsels
in criminal cases.
He has been a quest speaker for the Jacksonville Bar Association, National Safety Counsil, Atlanta,
GA, Florida Prosecuting Attorneys, Kentucky State Police Seminar, Minnesota Society For Criminal Justice, and Jacksonville
Association of Defense Counsels.
